Wow, I’m truly amazed to all the hackers.

This chapter talks about open sourcing and hackers. I think open sourcing is not bad. Actually, today, hackers or programmers are using open sourcing. They found it useful and interesting. Open sourcing is good but there are still complications when you use and especially when they implement or deploy it.

Here, the author also discussed ethics. We all know that ethics are one factor to be considered in our profession. Ethics are important in all aspect.

I agree to what the author said about open sourcing, people behind it, and ethics. The reader should remember these things because they can use this information in the future.

This Chapter gives us information about hackers, physics, and engineers. At first I wonder why author came up with the idea that “The Real Programmers typically came out of engineering or physics backgrounds”.  I am confused why they said this. But let’s take it as their side.

Here, they’ve discussed the background history of the Hackers. In the year 1982, there are Unix Hackers from Stanford and Berkley who found Sun Microsystems. That year Unix is inexpensive. I wonder why they founded Sun Microsystems and came up with this kind of reason. Anyway, I think they have their reason why they said that.

Then, in 1984, Crackers became famous because of what they did. What I know about crackers are they are bad. Their works are against the good ones. Programmers are hackers and not crackers though there are some of programmers who tend to be crackers.

If you ask people about the definition of Hackers, They all say that those are the bad ones.  Hackers are not bad. They just want to hack codes, and others.
